New Telederm Appointments Available at Pittsburgh Skin!
The safety of our patients and staff has been, and will always remain, our top priority at Pittsburgh Skin. In light of Gov. Tom Wolf’s recent mandate in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to close the office for all non-urgent medical appointments until it is safe to resume service as usual. Those with urgent medical needs are asked to call the office to discuss case-by-case in-person appointment needs, and will be asked to complete an extensive health screening prior to arrival.
In the meantime, if you or someone you love is facing a skin issue, consider utilizing Telederm at Pittsburgh Skin! Telederm offers all the benefits of an in-person visit from the comfort of your own home. Simply call or email our office to request a Telederm appointment – we’ll take care of the rest! Dr. Vélez is available via FaceTime or by email consultation (of photos of your ailments) to diagnose and recommend treatments for your skin concerns. Telehealth is being covered by insurance and many insurance companies are waiving co-payments at this time. Additionally, should prescription treatments be required, we will work with local pharmacies to get you your medications by mail free of charge.
While we are extremely saddened by the present circumstances facing our great nation, we know that by working together, we can overcome. Consider making the most of this time by checking your annual or problem-based dermatology visit off of your to-do list, all from the comfort of your favorite sofa.
